The Nissan Note e-Power is equipped with a series hybrid system. The Note e-Power series hybrid system consists of a compact 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine and an electric traction motor. In contrast to conventional power-split parallel hybrid vehicles, in series hybrids the compact engine is only used to charge the battery, while the electric motor acts as the sole traction source without plug-in functionality.
