FAQ
What warranties do you offer?
Answer
All vehicles sold at our dealership come with the following two warranties. The coverage and conditions for each are detailed below.
Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law:
All vehicles sold by Roundabout Australia are covered by protections under the Australian Consumer Law.
- You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure.
- You are entitled to compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
- If a vehicle fails to be of acceptable quality (and it is not a major failure), you are entitled to have the vehicle repaired or replaced by us.
DEALER GUARANTEE (Statutory Warranty – NSW):
In accordance with NSW law, and in addition to the consumer guarantees mentioned above, this vehicle is covered by a statutory dealer guarantee.
This applies to second-hand motor vehicles (other than motorcycles) that have travelled no more than 160,000 km and are less than 10 years old before the date of sale.
Under this guarantee, the dealer is required to repair or make good any defect present at the time of sale, or occurring within the warranty period, to place the vehicle in a reasonable condition having regard to its age.
This does not cover incidental or accidental damage occurring after sale, damage caused by misuse or negligence, or minor cosmetic defects such as scratches, dents, or upholstery wear.
This guarantee cannot be waived by either party to the sales agreement. The warranty period for this vehicle is 3 months or 5,000 km after sale (whichever occurs first).
